Within this symbol, I weave together the knowledge drawn from my consultations, transformational processes, meditations, and practices. My purpose is to help people turn inward, embrace their journey, and experience the awakening to the soul's inner bliss.
The base is the tip of a peacock feather, which represents the eye of God and the inner vision through which we see the truth of life and existence. Its deeper meaning is infinity. It connects us to the highest knowledge, prosperity, purity, grace, vision, wisdom, divine love, courage, strength, justice and ultimately spiritual victory. Delving into the peacock eye pattern represents delving into oneself, into the depths of the conscious and unconscious parts.
The layers represent a blueprint for the gradual discovery of self-knowledge, consisting of 5 sheaths that we must break through to reach the central bliss, to wholeness. In Sanskrit, they are called Koshe.
Anna means food. This sheath is our physical body and is the densest of all. It is created by the food we eat. It includes the bones and also the tissues that make up the muscles and organs. It is the lowest vibration of ourselves. Here energy solidifies into matter and is made up of the five elements. It is a structure that contains both prana and consciousness.
Prana means energy. This sheath is our energy body, the vital life force that moves through the body. It is made up of breath and five types of prana that control various functions in the physical body. Prana is what keeps the blood flowing, transmits impulses through the nerves, and also circulates between the physical body and other subtle bodies through energy lines. It comes in the form of vital, mental, psychic, and spiritual energy.
Mana means mind. This sheath is made up of our thoughts, feelings, intellect and emotions. It is the limited mind with which we perceive the world and everything that happens to us through the five senses.
Vijnana means subtle knowledge or wisdom. In this sheath, awareness of the body and mind is lost. Intuitive knowledge prevails in a higher level of consciousness in which we operate from the wisdom part of ourselves. As a result, the higher mind turns inward towards the soul, seeking the higher truth and the eternal center of consciousness.
Ananda means bliss. It is the spiritual body where we finally become one with our soul and achieve self-realization. It reflects the bliss of the soul. This bliss cannot be achieved by the senses, mind or intellect. It is the result of the harmony of all the other sheaths. The sheath is connected to the unconscious, superconscious mind.
In the sheaths we encounter blockages and 5 obstacles that stop our path to inner bliss and we must overcome them. In Sanskrit we call them kleshes:
When the obstacles are removed and the sheaths are cleansed, in the sheath of inner bliss, upon self-realization, eternal, imperishable joy and happiness are born, represented by the 4-leaf clover, consisting of four hearts. The upper, highest heart represents divine love through which the soul progresses from self-realization into an eternal love relationship with the Highest, into the knowledge of God.
