Today I said to someone: "This is really a crisis, when a person acts like they have nothing to eat when their bowl is full.".
Why can this happen to you?
Not because you don't have enough. But because somewhere deep down you still believe that you won't have it. That you don't deserve it, that it will run out, that it doesn't belong to you. That you have to save your energy, your love, your money, your opportunities... Because what if there's no tomorrow?
And so you can sit in front of a full bowl and still live as if you were hungry.
You can have enough money, but you're constantly afraid that it will run out. You can have someone love you, but you constantly expect them to abandon you. Life can give you something, but you don't know how to truly accept it.
Or maybe you learned that you have to work hard for everything, that it's not safe to have too much, that good things always end well. That it's better not to want anything too much because that way we'll be less disappointed.
Then life comes along and gives it to you. And you stand in front of a full bowl and still wait for it to run out.
Because the body and mind often don't live in what is today. They live in what they once learned.
We carry with us old feelings that are no longer connected to our present life. We are stuck in patterns that we have taken on. This is a lack that is no longer outside of us. It is within us.
We are full of fears, feelings of inferiority, which may once have had a reason, but today they no longer have one.
We don't see everything that's already coming our way. We don't see the support, the opportunities, the people who love us. We don't see how much we've already received and how much life actually gives us.
We are so focused on all the possible losses that we forget to look at what we have.
Life doesn't take as often as you think. Sometimes it just takes away what has become a burden and what you have been clinging to out of fear.
In this case, one of the most important inner transformations is to stop living in fear of lack and start to realize the fullness you already have. Not to convince yourself that everything is perfect. But to finally see your bowl, which is definitely not empty.
Let the focus be on how much you have already received. And let this realization feed you with gratitude.
