People ask a lot of questions, but far too few really important ones. Sometimes someone gets upset when I go through the connections and interests of the core family with them, and then I ask them a question:

“"Have you done everything so far just because your parents expected you to? What do you want to do, what are your interests?"”

There are many young people, even at the age of 30, who do not know how to answer these questions. The moment they become aware of their situation, they are overcome by an inner pain from the feeling that they have lost themselves and are not living their own lives, only the interests of others. But in the next steps of the process, it is wonderful to watch how they awaken and become new personalities, in harmony with themselves.
It is right to respect our parents, teachers, and companions through life, but in the multitude of instructions and beliefs of other people, we must not lose our inner compass. Only we ourselves can live our lives, no one else, not even those closest to us by blood and kinship, can do it for us.
It is similar to imitating idols. People unknowingly form a dream image of someone, very often a famous person, and then they are convinced that their life would be better or even perfect if they lived the way their “idol” lives. Not at all, because our karma and our path do not bring the same conditions and the same path as someone else. Even if we were to find ourselves in someone else’s shoes, their apparent success could represent a limiting framework for us, a departure from the path, and we would become much more unhappy than you can imagine.
So get to know yourself and the ways that come from you. Become aware of this and live it.
